The Embroiderers' Guild of America, Inc. (EGA)
The Embroiderers' Guild of America, Inc. is open to all stitchers from the most basic beginner to the advanced needle artist. With thousands of members and over 350 Chapters throughout the United States and Canada, EGA offers many opportunities for stitchers. The organization was founded in 1958, and is non-profit, educational, charitable, and non-discriminatory. The purpose of this organization shall be to foster the highest standards of excellence in the practice of the art of embroidery through an active program of education and study and to preserve the heritage of the art of embroidery. National Headquarters is located in Louisville, KY. EGA National serves as the steward of the Margaret Parshall Gallery, showcasing member-stitched needle art, as well as the Dorothy Babcock Library, containing hundreds of resources for lending and reference.
